A mobile phone on Linux

Many mobile phones run on Android, which uses a modified version of the Linux kernel. Android is developed by a consortium of companies and sponsored by Google. Most Android phones come with Google Mobile Services, which allows you to use Google cloud services (e.g. Google Play).
The PinePhone offers end users the possibility of using Linux on the mobile phone. The phone is supported by a community of developers of various Linux distibutions who develop such distributions for the phone. Peter talks about the PhinePhone and its advantages and disadvantages.
