In this presentation, Peter explains how e-mail works and various frequently used terms: POP3, IMAP, SMTP, PHP mailer, Sendmail, SPF, DKIM, DMARC, X-Originating-IP, MIME, SPAM, IP reputation, Office365, Gmail. The Domain Name System (DNS) will also be discussed.

The purpose of this presentation is to give some background knowledge on how to configure mail & DNS and how to prevent problems with spam.
