Docker is a very interesting software platform for running applications in kind of virtual containers. Using the command line interface (CLI), you can use docker to retrieve and launch applications. Some Linux users prefer to work through the Graphical User Interface (GUI).
Portainer is a way to manage docker containers via a GUI.
